#Synology plex media server not authorized code#
I've tried using the plex code on install, as well as a normal installation, but neither works and both get me the same error message.ĭoes anyone know what I can do to fix this? This was the main reason that I purchased the NAS, so I'd really like to figure out what I am doing wrong as soon as possible. I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling plex, but the issue keeps happening. To access it, go to Control panel -> Shared Folder -> Edit -> Permissions -> System Internal user (in the drop down) -> PlexMediaServer. Current Setup: 2x WD 3TB MyBookLive streaming high qualty 1080p/5.1/7.1 MKV files to a Raspberry Pi3 running Kodi in to Samsung KS8000 and Yamaha soundbar (yes, I know) My drives seem. It didn't have me do anything to set up the NAS server on plex.Īfter I closed plex to do something else on the NAS, I returned to plex to try to finish setting up the server, but was greeted with the following message: The first order of business is to hop into your Plex Media Server via the web-based control panel, located, by default, at local servers IP:32400. I wasnt sure to put this in the Storage forum or in here, ideally Id like input from both sets of expertise. When I initially installed the plex server (intel 64-bit version directly from the plex website), I opened it from the synology OS and signed into plex, then it looked like it normally would if I were to open the server from my PC.

I already have a plex server installed on my PC, so I have an account with Plex already and a relatively small media library already. I watched a couple videos on people setting up for the first time, but for some reason my experience has been different than the videos I watched. I am trying to set up a plex server on a NAS (synology DS920+) for my very first time.
